Fighting Crime From Above?

For the first blog entry, the NY Post's Bank Heist on Vid article pretty much sums up the current state of CCTV surveillance: cameras do not deter crime.

These images were recorded by an unmanned privately owned CCTV camera. As the image shows, the camera does not work well at night and there is no chance the evidence can be used to identify, apprehend or prosecute the perpetrators.
